COVID Information

August 20, 2020

Dear WHCA Families,

As the school year quickly approaches, we are distributing to you our new COVID Preparedness Plan (CPP) along with a Family Covid Consent Form & Liability Waiver. We are asking all families to carefully review the CPP and review and sign the Waiver. The consent form & liability waiver MUST be completed and signed prior to the first day of school in order for students to begin the school year. We would prefer that you bring your completed form to the Back to School Barbeque event on Tuesday, September 1st. It is our goal to collect all of the waivers that evening. Mr. Whitted will be reviewing our CPP and other paperwork at that time.

Please make sure that you read all of the attached documents thoroughly. It is very important that you clearly understand what our school policies are regarding COVID. It is our hope to answer any questions that you may have. If you have questions, please feel free to email or call the office prior to September 1st.

We are asking all families to RSVP to the school office regarding attendance for the Back to School picnic. The school will be providing all food items and water bottles that evening. Please contact the office no later than Thursday, August 27th with your family count. As always, please call the office if you have any further questions. Please join us in praying for this upcoming school year.

Fall 2020 Update

July 23, 2020

Dear WHCA Family:

I hope this letter finds you healthy and enjoying your summer.  I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the status of the upcoming school year.  Our current plan is to open on Wednesday, September 2, face to face.  We feel that our class sizes lend themselves to adequate social distancing.  Students may wear masks, but masks will not be required.

Staff will be taking appropriate measures to ensure that classrooms are clean prior to the beginning of each class.  Mrs. Barber’s and Mrs. Pearson’s classrooms have both been doubled in size.  Mr. Williams’ classroom has also expanded in size.

Our school board and administrative team are monitoring the latest developments coming out of Lansing.  We will be in touch with you in the next several weeks regarding any further updates.   Please uphold the school in your prayers as we seek to honor the Lord in educating your children.

In His love,

Kevin Whitted
