WHCA students explore music by singing, playing instruments, creating, and listening. Music class is a “special” for all K4 through 6th grade students that they attend twice each week. Jr. Praise Band is an elective for grades 7-8 and Chapel Band is an elective for grades 9-12.
All music participants perform in two or more events throughout the year, including the Christmas program and Spring Worship Night. These programs also incorporate aspects of drama, stage production, sound, and media technology.
JR PRAISE AND CHAPEL BANDS
These programs are an audition ensemble of voices and instruments that will lead worship during Friday chapel and at other events. The music in this class will incorporate a wide range of Christian music.
CONCERT BAND
Our band program is open to students in grades 5-12. 4th grade students can join with parent and teacher permission. Students meet after school on Mondays and Fridays.
